6th Grade Camp Out is a Success!

It’s become a tradition in PV:  the 6th Grade Camp Out.  This year, instead of camping in the spring, students camped in the fall.  They enjoyed great weather as they explored the Maquoketa Caves, collected chemical and biological water data for the Iowa Water Program, and studied pond and stream ecosystems at Camp Wyoming by wading through aquatic environments and examining captured organisms.  Owl calling, pellet dissection, geocaching, and a night walk were dded to help students learn more about the lives of various nocturnal animals.  And, of course, students had time for fun, too, like playing human fooseball!
