Please notify the Counseling Office if you are not planning to return to Pleasant Valley School District next year.

If you have projects in the art room please pick them up by the end of the day on Thursday May 31st.

Student Council will be selling orange #NeverAgain bracelets at lunch for $2 each. All proceeds go to support the March For Our Lives organization. Orange is the color of gun violence awareness.

Congratulations to the following students who won the Above and Beyond Award: Grace Engstrom, Gillian Oenick and Chastity Smith.

All books are due this Friday. Please pay your fines by this Friday as well. Any book not returned by noon on Friday, June 1 will be marked lost and the replacement cost and a non-refundable $5.00 processing fee will be assessed. Do not wait until the last minute. Take care of your business.

Any 8th grade boys interested in high school swimming, please pick up information and sign up with Mrs. Schoville by Friday May 25th.

There will be NO activity busses on Friday of this week. There will be no activity busses next week.

8th grade girls interested in signing up for high school cross country may pick up a flyer in the Main Office.

Read and Listen Book Drive: Any old books? Donate them to the box in the cafeteria/main hallway to help out kids in need. We will accept any gently used children’s books to donate to local organizations, shelters, and hospitals. The children will also be accompanied by Rocket the therapy dog.

Students going on the Washington D.C. trip who missed the informational meeting need to see Ms. Larsen in room 33 to get your materials. Also, medical release forms have been emailed to your parents and can be returned to Ms. Larsen any time in the next couple of weeks.

Students, as we near the end of the school year, please make sure that you have enough money in your lunch account to purchase a lunch through Friday, June 1st. Remember that any money left in your account will carry over to the next school year even if you are going to the High School. In addition to lunch accounts, we ask that you pay any outstanding balances prior to the June 1st. Outstanding balances may include such items as library fees, lost items, or damaged books,

Students entering 7th & 8th grade in Fall 2018: The Health Careers Adventure Camp will be from July 16 – 20, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at St. Ambrose University Campus & the Center for Health Sciences Education. Cost in $200 until Friday, June 29th. For an application or to register online, please visit: www.sau.edu/healthcamp

Please help disadvantaged kids in our community! Donate any new or gently used sports equipment today! Many local kids have the desire to play sports, but aren’t able to play because they can’t afford the required gear. All donations will benefit local kids! Donate today! ASinc. – Advance Services, Inc. – hiring for Summer Pollinating Positions at Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, Davenport. Pick up a flyer in the Counseling Office.

Mrs. White’s Book Club will meet Thursday, May 24th at 2:30 in Mrs. Mulfinger’s room (116) to watch A Monster Calls to all the participants that read the book in book club earlier this year. This will be the final meeting for this club.
