Elementary Return to Learn: Here is an update on the timeline for the process we will use to decide the learning model for the 3rd Term, which starts February 16.
January 12 - Elementary families will receive a survey asking for input regarding learning models for the 3rd term. Families will be asked if they prefer 100% onsite, the hybrid model or 100% online. This survey will be non-binding.
January 25 - Using survey results and additional COVID-19 metrics, the Pleasant Valley Board of Education will approve a 3rd term learning model for elementary students
January 26 - Elementary families will receive an attendance verification form asking them to confirm a learning model for the 3rd term.
In the meantime, we ask that you stay in your current learning model, as schedules and staffing are set to allow for social distancing. Thank you for your patience!
Kindergarten Registration: The Pleasant Valley Community School District is compiling a list of names of students who plan to enroll in kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. Click here for more information.
Picture retakes will be on Jan. 11 and Jan 12 for those students who did not get their picture taken or would like to have it retaken. Online students may have their pictures retaken on Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 7:30am-8:00am. Online students may enter the building through the front door and pictures will be taken in the Science room. If you are having your picture retaken, please send the original packet to turn in to Lifetouch with your child on retake day. If your student did not have their picture taken at all and you would like to purchase a packet, please send the envelope with the order on the day of retakes.
School-Issued iPads: If you have a school issued ipad, please turn it off and turn it back on. The Pleasant Valley Technology Department has pushed out new updates. Thank you!
Free Meals for All Students: All school breakfasts and lunches will be free through the end of the school year! Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
Meals Available for At-Home Learners: We will have meals available each week for 100% online and hybrid at-home days. You must fill out this form every week by Monday at 6:00am to register for the meals. Meals will be available for pick up every day from 10:30am-11:00am at PVHS in the bus drop off area.

Reflections Ceremony: Because of social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19, the PTA Reflections Ceremony will be a bit different this year. Instead of the typical live ceremony, we will release a video featuring all of our students’ entries and students will be receiving their awards at school from their principal next week. Student projects that did not advance to State will be returned to them next week and projects that have advanced to State will be returned at a later date. Thank you for encouraging your child to participate in the PTA Reflections program.
