Car Drop Off: For the safety of all students, please only drop students off between the two crosswalks where we have adults to help supervise.  No students should be dropped off at the playground. Not only is it not safe, but it may cause a hold up in the drop off line. Playground supervision begins at 8:10. Students who arrive before that, will come into the building through door W6 and wait in the cafeteria until our supervisor brings kids to the playground.  Thank you for keeping our Cody kids safe!

For safety and accountability, if your child will be doing something other than their regular after-school routine, please notify the teacher or the office by phone or send a note.  For example, if a student is normally a bus rider, he/she will be sent on the bus if there is no communication from the parent indicating otherwise.

Office procedure reminders: -Any items that need to be dropped off during the day can be left in the vestibule and labeled with the student's name and teacher. If you need to pick up your student for any reason during the school day, when you arrive, please call the office and we will bring your child outside to you.

Hearing Screenings:  The Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency is coming to Cody to conduct hearing screenings on Wednesday, September 29.  Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade students will be screened, as well as all new students to the District.

Birthday Invitations: We just love that you want to invite your student's classmates to a party!  Please use the student directory in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to find addresses for your invitations. If you'd like your student to distribute party invitations at school, we ask that you would kindly invite every girl/boy or whole class.  We thank you in advance for all of the smiling faces!

PTA Reflections: Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “I Will Change the World by…” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. All PTA Reflections program entries are judged on 3 criteria: Interpretation of Theme (40 points), Creativity (30 points) & Technique (30 points).  Each student may enter up to 4 entries per arts category.

Please click this link for information on how to enter, official rules and entry form. Reflections projects are due before school on October 27th and 28th. A Reflections chairperson will be at a PTA table outside the main office of your school those mornings to collect all projects.  For inspiration, please visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships.  Questions? please email:
