FROM THE PRINCIPAL

What an incredible night we had for Harvest!

Community is our vision and Harvest provided a wonderful opportunity for Hopewell to join together for fun, laughter, food, and games.  The pictures on the Hopewell PTA Facebook tell the Harvest story better than I ever could.  Community was truly demonstrated.  Again - Thank You to everyone who organized and attended this awesome event.  Did someone say outdoor Winter Carnival??  (No, but we will keep looking for opportunities to bring our community together:)

Morning Drop Off Reminders:

Hopewell opens for students eating breakfast at 8:00am.  Students should be dropped off no earlier than 8am as the building is not open causing a safety concern.  From 8:00-8:15am students can join Hikers in the back of the building on the playground.  Hikers is supervised by a Hopewell staff member.  8:15am all doors open and students can proceed to their classrooms.

Families of Pre-K students can begin lining up in the car drop off lane AFTER 8:30.  If you arrive earlier, please park in the lot until it is time to line up.  This really helps us keep the car drop off line moving in the morning.  Thank you!

FROM THE PTA:

PTA Reflections: Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme, “I Will Change the World by…” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. All PTA Reflections program entries are judged on 3 criteria: Interpretation of Theme (40 points), Creativity (30 points) & Technique (30 points).  Each student may enter up to 4 entries per arts category.

Please click this link for information on how to enter, official rules and entry form. Reflections projects are due before school on October 27th and 28th. A Reflections chairperson will be at a PTA table outside the main office of your school those mornings to collect all projects.  For inspiration, please visit the Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about prizes and scholarships.  Questions? please email: pvreflectionsprogram@gmail.com.

Hopewell Harvest: Thank you to all of the volunteers, donors, Hopewell PTA and staff that worked together to make Harvest a great success.  The event brought our school community together for fun and excitement, and raised funds to support our students, teachers and staff.  The 2021 Hopewell Harvest raised over $29,000, which will be put to great use for our school! Thank you!

PTA Meeting: Please join us for the next Hopewell PTA meeting on Thursday, Oct 14 at 9 am, at Hopewell Elementary. We will cover Hopewell Harvest, vote on the budget and cover upcoming events/activities at Hopewell! If you are interested in joining the PTA, we would love to have you join us!
