Elementary Conferences: Elementary Conferences will start the week of November 1 and we're so excited to talk about your student's progress. This year we will offer in-person conferences and virtual conferences. The scheduling window is open now and will remain open until Noon on Friday, October 29th.    If you would like an in-person conference, we ask that you sign up for the night of November 4 and select a time from 3:30-8:00pm.  If you would like a virtual conference we ask that you sign up for another  time during our conference window (November 1-5 (excluding Nov. 4) and November 8-12). School Board Elections:  On November second, PV residents of Director Districts 1,2 and 7 can vote for school board directors in three districts.  Click here to learn about your voter district and polling places.

Flu Shot Clinics:  Genesis Flu Free Quad Cities is holding a free flu shot clinic for PV elementary schools.  We have scheduled Pleasant View Elementary school for Wednesday, October 27 at 8:30 am.   If you are interested, please fill out this form 2 days prior to the event to give parental consent. 

PTA Reflections: Entries are due next week!  Before school on October 27 and 28, a Reflections chairperson will be at a PTA table outside the main office to collect all projects Please click this link for information on how to enter, official rules and entry form. Questions? Please email:

Halloween Parties will be at the end of the day on Friday, October 29.  We will limit in-class visitors to the two PTA room parents.  However, all families are invited to our outside parade at 2:10pm – weather permitting.  As a reminder, please have your child choose a costume that brings out the best in them.  No weapons or particularly gory costumes.  We can't wait to see your creativity!

Student Hunger Drive: Students for Pleasant Valley High School will be Trick-or-Treating Halloween weekend (10/30 &10/31) not for candy but for non-perishable food items as a part of the Student Hunger Drive. If you would like to donate but will not be home or someone does not stop by your house, please contact or to make arrangements. Thank you for your support!

Work for PV!  Pleasant Valley is looking for a building mechanic and building maintenance assistant.  All positions are full-time and have an excellent benefit package!  #WeArePV



Book Fair dates: The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school on Thursday, November 4th.  Did you know supporting our book fair has a very real impact on our classrooms? Money from purchases at the fair goes back to our school – here are a just a few things we have purchased:

·  Each teacher gets $100 new books each year to update classroom collections

·  New teachers to Pleasant View receive $200 to help start their classroom libraries

·  1st grade classes received new area rugs

·  3rd and 5th grade purchased sets of books for entire classrooms

·  Browsing bins for the library

·  Books for the library!

Book Fair e-wallet: Not sure how much money your child needs to shop the fair during the day? No worries! Sign up for an E-Wallet. No more lost money or not enough money to make a purchase. It's a virtual wallet! Deposit a predetermined amount of money and any funds not used will be credited back to you! 

Book Fair volunteers: Volunteers are needed to help make the Book Fair a success!  The Fair will be open during in-person parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, November 4 from 3:00-8:00 PM.  Students will make their wish lists when they preview the books with their class on October 28-29.
