ISASP Testing: In April, we will administer the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core Standards and will measure both student proficiency and growth in the areas of Math, Reading, Language/Writing and Science.  ISASP is used for state and federal student accountability purposes and to determine if students will qualify for extended learning opportunities.  Learn more about ISASP here.

Online students test will test onsite at the following times:

PVHS Online students will test at the following times:

May 14, 1:00-3:30pm (Reading grades 9,10,11 and Science grade 10)

May 21, 1:00-3:30pm (Writing grades 9,10,11)

May 28, 1:00-3:30pm (Math grade 9,10,11)

PROM IS ON! Pleasant Valley High School Social Committee and Spartan Assembly would like to invite all Juniors and Seniors, along with their dates, to Spartan Stadium for Prom "Under the Lights'' on May 8th from 8:00-10:00pm. Tickets cost $20. Masks will be required! 

Spartan Assembly is selling Prom shirts through April 20th. The shirts will arrive at the high school on May 6th.  Shirts sizes S-XL are priced at $10. XXL will be priced at $12 and 3XL will be $15.  Here is the link: https://stores.inksoft.com/PVHS_prom_shirts/

Graduation: PVHS faculty and staff are continuing to finalize plans for a live graduation for the class of 2021.  Please stay tuned in the coming weeks for more details information.

We still have spots available on our June 2022 trip to Spain as well as our July 2022 to Australia & New Zealand!  Trips are open to current 8-11 grade PV students. Service-Learning Program Requirements Reminder

To attend prom:

·         9th Graders: no requirement

·         10th Graders: must have completed 9/10th grade hours

·         11th Graders: must have completed 9/10th grade hours

·         12th Graders: must have completed 9/10th grade hours and 20 of your 40 11/12th grade hours.  

*Seniors with under 20 hours should schedule an appointment with Mrs. Myatt to establish a plan that will allow them to attend prom.


End of year requirements:

9th Graders: none

10th Graders: If you have not completed your 30 hours, you will receive an F on your report card.  To avoid an F, hours must be completed by Friday, June 4.

11th Graders:  If you have not completed your 9/10th grade hours, you will receive an F on your report card.  To avoid the F, hours are due by Friday, June 4.

12th Graders: All hours and reflective projects (reflection and PowerPoint) must be completed by Thursday, May 20th in order to walk in graduation.  As of Friday, May 21, all seniors who have not completed this requirement will receive an F and will not be eligible for graduation.

Pets are prohibited inside Spartan Stadium and the Baseball/Softball complex.  In addition, pets are prohibited at ALL High School athletic events for the safety of all.


The National Letter of Intent/College Commitment ceremony will be Wednesday, April 21 at 2:50pm in the Main Gym.  Parents are welcome to attend.


Senior Athletic Awards are Wednesday, May 5 in the PVHS Theater beginning at 6:00pm.  Key note speakers are seniors Sophia Lindquist, Matt Mickle and Isabelle Russmann.  The PVHS Male and Female athlete of the year will be announced.  Masks required to attend.




BPV Youth Baseball:  The Senior Division season officially kicks off Sunday, April 25 with a Players/Coaches meeting at Devils Glen (Saldivar Field). Click here to learn how to play with BPV.
