Graduation: Click here for the latest information on Graduation 2021, including a new system to determine who will be able to rent suites at the TaxSlayer. Masks are required for graduation ceremony.   We share the Tax Slayer Center with North Scott and Moline for graduations, the TaxSlayer is required to clean between ceremonies. This does not allow much time for set up.  Please forgive us if you get there at 2:30 and we are setting up!  There will not be a processional due to Covid restrictions.  All participants in the ceremony will enter and go directly to their seats. 

Parent Conditions for Learning Survey: Don’t forget to take the Conditions for Learning Survey.  The survey contains items focusing on areas that range from student safety, to positive adult and student relationships, to school rules and how they are enforced. The results will be provided to each school in our district to be used with the student survey results for identifying areas of strengths and areas for improvement. You can access instructions and the link to the survey. A copy of the items on the survey is available by request.  

PV-Issued Devices: All 9-11th grade HS students in person and online, will be allowed to keep their devices throughout the summer and be expected to bring them back in working order for the next school year. If you would prefer to check the device and charger back into the school prior to summer break you must contact Mr. Pagett before June 4. 12th grade students will be returning their school issued chromebook May 25 and 26 as part of their checkout process.

·         If your student does not plan on attending Pleasant Valley Schools for the 2021-22 school year the device must be returned to Mr. Pagett prior to the student’s last day of school or a fee will be assessed for the replacement cost. 

·         For those families that decide to unenroll their student during the summer months, please contact the technology director Kevin Pennekamp at pennekampkevin@pleasval.org or 563-332-5550 to set up a time to return the device.

·         Any technical issues with your device over the summer or if you need something repaired, you can email the technology director Kevin Pennekamp at pennekampkevin@pleasval.org to set up a time to drop it off at the administration office (525 Belmont Rd).

Meals Available for At-Home Learners: Meals will be available every Monday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am for 100% online learners.  You’ll pick up all your meals for the entire week.  You must fill out this form every week by Monday at 6:00am to register for the meals.  Meals are currently free because of a government program.

Bus Drivers Needed!  The search for the right drivers is paramount to our success because the best drivers = the safest kids. Durham School Services is hiring!  

PV Foundation Scholarship Ceremony:  The Pleasant Valley Educational Foundation will award 115 scholarships to the class of 2021.  Half of the students will participate on May 12 and the other half on May 19.  If you’d like to watch the ceremonies, we’ll be streaming live.
