#SpartanNation March 4

PVJH #SpartanNation Weekly Announcements

Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress:  After Spring Break, Pleasant Valley Schools will administer the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core Standards and will measure both student proficiency and growth in the areas of Math, Reading, Language/Writing and Science.  ISASP is used for state and federal student accountability purposes and to determine if students will qualify for extended learning opportunities. Click here for ISASP dates and schedules.

LEAVING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY: If your student needs to leave early, please make sure they bring a note with them in the morning to give to the attendance secretary. The note should include your student’s name, the date, and the time they will need to leave. The attendance secretary will provide your student with a pass excusing them from class so that they can come to the office, sign themselves out, and be able to meet you at your vehicle for the requested pickup time. This will help alleviate any delays. If a student does not have a note with them in the morning, we will need the parent to come into our main office to sign them out before they are able to leave.

Pleasant Valley Educational Foundation Golf Outing:  Join us for the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year.  All funds support scholarships for graduating seniors.  Sign up a foursome for a traditional golf outing, become a hole sponsor, or NEW THIS YEAR – play the new Forge putting course with the family!  Learn more here.  Register here.
