Are YOU ready for this year's Hunger Drive #SpartanNation?! Yesterday marked the kick off of the 34th Annual Student Hunger Drive, hosted by the River Bend Foodbank, which means it's time to gather your canned/non-perishable goods (or monetary donations) to help support PVCSD and the Quad Cities Community!
The Student Hunger Drive is a six-week friendly competition between area high schools where students collect items in a variety of ways to raise most for their school! In addition to collecting food for those in need, the Drive gives students the opportunity to develop organizational and life skills as they work together to accomplish a common goal.
Over the next six weeks, you can help PVCSD reach their 60,000 pound goal by sending your student to school with any items you would like to donate, as they will be collecting within their classrooms or throughout the schools. The following items are some of the most needed food items (though monetary donations are equally as wonderful!)
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Meat
- Peanut Butter
Let's show the QCA that PVCSD cares and make this the most successful hunger drive yet!
