We will have your child’s schedule and map of the school available in at the main entrance if you need a copy.
The goal of our Back to School Open House is to allow each of you to meet your child’s teachers and to understand the curricular expectations of the course. Therefore, we recommend you do not ask specific questions regarding your child’s progress at that time. If you have a specific question regarding your child, we encourage you to set up a time to meet with the teacher or to send them an email!
From the Principal
It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. We welcome all of our returning families and extend a warm welcome to all of our new students and families to Pleasant Valley Junior High. Our MISSION is to create a challenging academic environment empowering all students with essential life skills and emotional health. Our VISION is to make potential a reality in all things for all kids. We strive to help every child feel safe, welcomed, connected, challenged and a part of the Spartan family.
I am honored to serve as the principal of Pleasant Valley Junior High. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 563-332-0200 or email@example.com if you have any questions or concerns.
Parking & Pick Up/Drop Off Changes
Pick Up/Drop Off: Because of the renovations at Pleasant Valley Junior High, procedures have changed. Busses will now drop off and pick up behind the school. Car drivers will use the front of the school. Please pull down as far as you can so traffic does not get backed up. Click here for a map of the traffic pattern.
Many of our students ride a bus to get to school. Click here for a reminder of the expectations we have for our exceptional bus riders.
Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccine Information
Students entering the 7th grade are required to have 1 dose of the Meningococcal vaccine if born on or after September 15, 2004. If your student has a medical exemption; a new medical exemption to include the Meningococcal vaccine is required. YOU MUST PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
