T2K Inquiry Form
About T2K
T2K is offered to students who are residents of the Pleasant Valley Community School District with a birthdate between June 1st and September 15th. Students will be screened at the end of March/early April and data obtained from the screenings will be considered when selecting students for the class. 12 to 15 students will be selected for placement in the program. Students not selected will be placed on a waiting list, should openings occur at a later date.
All potential students are assessed using a consistent screening instrument prior to enrollment in the T2K program. The purpose of the screening is to obtain a sampling of a child’s skills and behaviors. Information from the screening, along with other factors, such as previous preschool experience, as well as individual student needs, is used to determine student enrollment in the program.
If the student is selected for enrollment, parents must provide the student’s birth certificate, record of immunizations and a current physical prior to the student’s start date. Your child will not be allowed to attend until all records are on file.
Screenings are conducted at the end of March/early April for the following school year. If you would like to begin the screening process for the Transition to Kindergarten (T2K) Program, please complete and submit the following form. Missy Huff will be in contact with you as soon as possible regarding your inquiry form. If you have any questions please contact Missy by email at huffmissy@pleasval.org or by phone at 563.332.5550.
