This year is like no other. As we move forward, we’re going to find roadblocks in our way. That’s why Cody’s theme for the year is “Constructing Detours.”
Each year, the school chooses a theme that helps students and staff maintain focus as well as provide a little fun. Take a look at this slide presentation for further explanation of the meaning of Constructing Detours.
“As we lean into a new school year, we need to have our thoughts and attitudes in a positive place,” Principal Laurie Brasche said. “Our mindset will need to see the future as a time for opportunities even as we maneuver through some detours.”
On the second Thursday and Friday of each month, students and staff are asked to dress in construction gear and there are special events throughout the day. On the first Constructing Detours day, students got to go through and obstacle course before school. Click on the pictures below! Thank you to the PTA and Russell Construction for making it extra special.
