100% online students in Ms. Rokes’ kindergarten class are learning how to read pictures from Teacher Librarian Mr. Mendelin. These kindergarteners are learning from home, so they met on Zoom to hear a story from Mr. Mendelin. But, before they started reading the words, they read the pictures. Going through the book first, thinking about the pictures, and imagining what the words might say first helps students with understanding. A good tip when it’s time for tonight’s bedtime story!
