As you may recall, in December, our intention was to continue the hybrid learning model at PVHS through the end of the year. On January 12th, the Governor shared during her Condition of the State address that public schools needed to allow students the option to return 100% onsite. Over the past two weeks, bills have been introduced in both the House and Senate and seem to have strong traction. In anticipation of the bill being signed by the Governor this week or early next week, we need to make adjust our plans for PVHS.
Please watch this video from Superintendent Brian Strusz about the changes needed for PVHS.
In anticipation of the bill passing, we are asking you to fill out a new Attendance Verification form determining whether or not your student and you would select 100% onsite learning or 100% online learning.
For families choosing 100% online, please note the following:
- Due to scheduling and staffing, if you select the 100% online learning model, you must stay in the 100% online model through the end of the school year.
- PVHS teachers will be live-streaming their classes and online students will be required to attend virtually each period of the school day as indicated on their schedule.
ONE HOUSEHOLD MEMBER MUST FILL OUT THIS FORM FOR PVHS STUDENTS BY 4:00PM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 29.
If you have questions before you fill out the form, email pvweb@pleasval.org
