PVHS & PVJH Live Learning and Onsite Expectations

  • All students will follow their current schedule by period, both online and in person.
  • Students not attending during their scheduled period whether online or in person will be counted absent.
  • Teachers will provide "Live Streaming" each period for online or quarantine students.
  • Time spent in a class online may vary due to the nature of the lesson and work being completed. Students may be able to complete work independently and not have to stay for the entire period. It will be determined by the teacher and may vary each day. The student, though, must log in on time and should plan to stay the entire time.
  • Students should use their school-issued chromebook to stream.  School-issued devices are required for all assessments.
  • Students are encouraged to turn on their cameras, but it is not required.
  • Just like now, all assignments are assigned, collected, and assessed through Google Classroom or Canvas.
  • Use After School Advisor at the Junior High and 8th Period Resource at the High School to receive extra help from teachers.
  • Students will be allowed to have backpacks in the classroom for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.  This decision may be changed based on safety and/or space concerns.  Winter coats should be kept in the hall lockers.
  • Students will not be issued PE lockers and will not dress out.
  • Teachers will not be recording lessons unless it is because they’re using it for an assignment or because a student has very unique or extenuating circumstances.
