Spartan Nation Girls’ Cross Country Scholarship

“Run with Carl” is a Labor Day road race that honors the life of PVHS student Carl Schillig, who passed away after a hit-and-run accident. The Pleasant Valley Educational Foundation accepted the honor of continuing the “Run with Carl” in the summer of 2015.

This scholarship is awarded to a four-year member of the boys’ cross country team who embodies the qualities of a Spartan cross country runner – perseverance, determination, and integrity.  This athlete so values the team atmosphere of Pleasant Valley Cross Country that she plans to continue to run on a competitive team at the collegiate level.
