Tom & Martha Shaff Licea Family Scholarship
Martha Shaff Licea is a Graduate of St. Olaf College and Drake University Law School. She is a partner with the law firm of Betty, Neuman and McMahon of Davenport. Some of her accomplishments/memberships include: Fellow American College of Trial Lawyers, Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers (Board of Directors, 2011-present), President of the Iowa Defense Council Association (2007), and a Cody Elementary volunteer.
Tom Licea is a graduate of the University of Iowa, BBA. He is a Portfolio Manager for Baxter Healthcare in Deerfield, IL. Some of Tom’s accomplishments/memberships include: past President of The Iowa Quad Cities Rotary, Vice-Chairman of the Handicapped Development Center, Vice-President of the Pleasant Valley Educational Foundation, past board member of Rivermont Collegiate, football coach for Bettendorf Parks and Recreation, and Junior Achievement representative for Cody Elementary and PV Junior High.
Martha and Tom have two children, Chase and Maddy, in the Pleasant Valley School District.
Criteria to Apply:
- Be a graduating senior from PVHS with GPA consistent with college admission
- Be involved in school, community or a job
- Hardworking student in classroom and out
- Student of good character
