ISASP Testing Information

From March 22 - April 8, Pleasant Valley will administer the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). Developed by the Iowa Testing Programs Center at the University of Iowa, the assessment aligns with the Iowa Core standards to track student progress in a variety of subjects. This is an online test that will be delivered onsite during the school day. Testing will be scheduled at different times at grade levels during the testing window.

Students will be tested in the following areas:

  • Math: Grades 3-11
  • English Language Arts, including Reading and Writing: Grades 3-11
  • Science: Grades 5 and 8

For test security purposes, the state does not allow phones or any smart devices in the testing area. Students will be asked to secure cell phones and devices in their lockers. Phones and smart devices must be turned off during testing to reduce traffic on our network system.

We encourage you to make sure your student attends school and gets adequate rest during the testing window.

Elementary: the building principal or your child’s classroom teacher can answer questions about the ISASP testing schedule.

PVJH will take practice tests the week before actual testing.  The following is the testing schedule for PVJH. Please note on March 29, 30 and 31 there is a modified bell schedule.
