Schoville named the Central District Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year

Caitlin Schoville

Caitlin Schoville, Health & Physical Education teacher at PVJH, has been named the Central District Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year, which recognizes the highest standards of excellence in physical education. The Central District encompasses Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. She now stands as one of four finalists nationwide for the prestigious National Middle School PE Teacher of the Year award. The winner is set to be announced at the SHAPE America National Convention conference in March.

Reflecting on her selection, Caitlin expressed her gratitude and vision for physical education, "I am so humbled and honored by the Central District Middle School PE Teacher of the Year award. I’m extremely grateful for all of my mentors and the inspiring educators across the state, as well as my PE department for always being eager to try new ideas and developing ways to keep improving our program year after year. I love teaching PE, I love working with my department, and I love working with our students. I’m so lucky to be able to live by the quote, 'Do what you love, and love what you do.' Thank you PV for all of the opportunities you have provided me."

This recognition is a testament to Schoville's passion for physical education and her commitment to fostering a love for physical activity among her students.

Congratulations, Caitlin!
