This week, Ballet Quad Cities is visiting each of our elementary schools with a special performance of Dorothy Goes to Oz: A Story of Friendship and Teamwork. Along the yellow brick road, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Person, and the Lion remind us all of the power of smarts, heart, courage—and especially friendship—to overcome unkindness and stand up for what’s right.
Their annual visit is one of our favorite ways to kick off Bully Prevention Month. Today, Hopewell students had the chance to experience the story come to life through music, movement, and imagination—and the message was clear: kindness, teamwork, and courage make all the difference.
Thank you to Ballet Quad Cities for bringing this inspiring performance to Spartan Nation!
