Students in Mrs. Brand's third grade class at Bridgeview have just put the finishing touches on a piece of writing weeks in the making. Students wrote a personal narrative. They could write about any topic, but through revision and peer review had to use sensory words to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, as well as temporal words to signal event order. Personal narrative writing is a part of the Iowa Common Core English Language Arts Standards.
Students been working on these for three weeks and are pretty proud of the outcome!
