Welcome to another exciting school year at Pleasant Valley Junior High! I am looking forward to welcoming our new and returning eighth graders, as well as welcoming our new seventh graders, as they come together for the first time as Spartans.
It is a true privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic success and social growth. We have an amazing staff that is guided on the principle of doing what is best for students. We consider ourselves a family, and we are excited to welcome you!
Thank you for your very important part in your student's educational journey. I’m looking forward to another wonderful school year!

Iowa Immunization Law requires all students entering 7th grade to have one dose of Tdap vaccine and one dose of Meningococcal vaccine. Once these have been completed please provide the date to your school nurse. The State of Iowa allows NO grace period for the start of the school year. Students without evidence of these vaccinations or an immunization exemption certificate on file will be unable to attend school in August until the requirement is met.
To sign up for athletics at the Junior High, you need to sign up with Family ID. Click here for instructions. You also need to provide an updated physical every year. We will no longer be collecting paper physicals; you must upload them to Family ID.
