We’d love to welcome your little Spartan to our preschool family for the 2026/27 school year! Our teachers are certified in both general and special education, and we offer free half-day programming and full-day tuition options for 4-year-olds at Bridgeview and Hopewell Elementary Schools.

Full Day Preschool Programming 

Our pilot full day preschool program is open on regular school days throughout the year following our district calendar. Classes meet five days a week, Monday-Friday, on the following schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:40-2:40
District Early Dismissal Days (Typically the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays): 8:40-1:00 p.m.

Full day preschool options include an am and pm snack and lunch provided by our Pleasant Valley Foodservice team.

Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Half Day Preschool Programming 

Our District, as part of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program (SWVPP), offers free, half-day preschool for children who turn four years old on or before September 15 of the year of enrollment. Our half-day preschool program offers 3 hour morning and afternoon sessions to meet student and family needs. The preschool program is open on regular school days throughout the year following our district calendar. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

2026-27 Preschool Pre-Registration 

Enrollment is pre-based on a first come, first serve basis until classroom spaces are filled. We encourage families to complete the pre-registration form by February 27th. Families can expect to learn about enrollment and building placement in March.

Tuition

Half-Day Preschool Programming - Offered at no cost to families as part of the State Wide Voluntary Preschool Program 
Full-Day Preschool Programming - $400/per month, September- May

Before and After School Care 

Bridgeview and Hopewell Elementaries host an independently operated, fee based, on-site before and after-school program through the YMCA of the Mississippi Valley. You can find detailed information about the services provided by the YMCA here. Please note that we are currently working with the YMCA to expand offerings to include preschool aged students, but this program is still in development and not guaranteed for the 26/27 school year.

Eligibility Requirements 

The PV Preschool Program is part of Iowa's Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. Children must be four years old on or before Sep. 15th of the year of attendance. Children with IEPs may attend beginning at age three.
